Northern Ireland Census 2001 Univariate Tables

 

 

   

Introduction

The Northern Ireland Census 2001 Univariate Tables form a set of detailed counts for a wide selection of Census variables. The counts are typically available for each of the 5022 Census Output Areas and all associated higher level geographies in Northern Ireland (i.e. Northern Ireland as a whole, Health and Social Services Boards, Education and Library Boards, Parliamentary Constituencies, NUTS Level III regions, Local Government Districts, Electoral Wards, and Census Output Areas).  The Univariate Tables have been produced in electronic format and can be accessed here on the web ( the printed report and CD product will be available at a later date ).    

Although the majority of tables will be available down to Census Output Area level, some will be restricted to Electoral Ward or Local Government District Level in order to preserve the confidentiality and utility of the data.  

Tables available at District Council Level, with the exception of UV116 Religion (Full detail), are also available for Health and Social Services Boards, Education and Library Boards, NUTS level 3 Regions and Parliamentary Constituencies. A complete list showing the availability of each of the tables at the lower geographical levels is available in PDF format, please CLICK HERE.                                                                                                                          To read PDF files you will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or greater.  This can be downloaded free of charge from the Adobe web site.  

The Univariate Tables across the UK are numbered sequentially and, as such, some of the numbers will relate to tables which are not available in Northern Ireland.  Generally, a similar table for Northern Ireland will be available.  A list of all the Univariate Tables and suggested alternative Northern Ireland Tables is available in PDF format, please CLICK HERE.
