Migration, Travel to Work, and Workplace Population Tables

The Northern Ireland Census 2001 Migration, Travel to work, and Workplace Population Report contains some 72 tables providing information at the Northern Ireland level on migration of persons and households in and out of NI, the method of travel and distance travelled by employed persons to work and the characteristics of those persons with NI as a workplace.    The report is available in PDF format as detailed below.  To read PDF files you will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or greater. This can be downloaded free of charge from the Adobe web site.

The full report may be purchased from The Stationery Office at a cost of £15.  When purchasing the publication the customer should quote the ISBN 0339401303.

Supplementary Output

Similar tables to those presented in the report are available for a variety of lower geographical levels, including Local Government Districts, Electoral Wards and Census Output Areas.  These tables have been produced in electronic format and can be accessed HERE.  

The availability of some of the tables has been restricted to Electoral Ward or Local Government District Levels in order to preserve the confidentiality and utility of the data.
