Census 2001 Output

Northern Ireland Census 2001 Key Statistics for Super Output Areas

Introduction

Super Output Areas (SOAs) are a new geography that has been developed by NISRA to improve the reporting of small area statistics.

This release presents summary statistics (Key Statistics) for the majority of Census questions and topics, mainly presented as percentages of population totals for Super Output Areas, which are aggregates of Census Output Areas containing an average of just less than 2000 usually resident persons on Census Day (29 April 2001).

Further details on Super Output Areas and how they were created can be found Here.

Results are given both in Numbers and percentages on separate worksheets within each table.

If you have difficulty viewing Excel spreadsheets you may need to download the Excel 97 Viewer
